Lord Sheikh attended a lunch organised by Yawar Khan, President of Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers and Asian Catering Federation to say farewell to the Malaysian High Commissioner His Excellency Mr Datuk Zakaria Sulong. The High Commissioner of Bangladesh and the Ambassador of Indonesia were both also present.

Lord Sheikh mentioned that he has an excellent relationship with the Malaysian and Bangladeshi community and has visited both the countries. He has also been invited to visit Indonesia at the request of the Ambassador but was unable to attend as he was unwell whilst returning from a visit to another country. He does however intend to visit Indonesia in the future as the country is progressing very well and there are opportunities for more trade and links to be established between the UK and Indonesia.
