Lord Sheikh attended and spoke at the Eid Dinner organised by the Pakistani Professionals Forum (PPF). The Chairman of the Forum is Dr Farrukh Hussain who is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Conservative Muslim Forum.

The mission of the PPF is to help improve the image of Pakistan and enhance the standing of the Pakistani community.

In his speech Lord Sheikh mentioned that the United Kingdom cares about what happens in Pakistan and David Cameron has pledged aid of £650m to Pakistan which is to be used for education, maternal health, governance and security, wealth creation and for humanitarian purposes.
