Lord & Lady Sheikh travelled to Glasgow to attend the wedding of Omar Shaikh. Lord Sheikh spoke at the wedding and recited Sehra which is an Urdu poem congratulating the bride, the bridegroom and the groom’s parents. The poem also wishes health, happiness and wealth to the bride and groom. The poem was specially written for the occasion. Lord Sheikh knows Omar Shaikh’s family very well, Omar is the founder of the Islamic Finance Council and Lord Sheikh promotes and supports the work of the Council. The wedding reception was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow and was very well attended.
