The Muslim News Awards for Excellence were established six years ago and recognise the achievements of the unsung heroes and heroines of
the country and promote excellence within the Muslim community and beyond.

The awards will be given under various categories at a glittering dinner hosted by Muslim News at the Grovesnor House Hotel on 4th April 2007.

We would very much like to commend Mr Ahmed Versi, the editor of Muslim News, for organising an event of this magnitude which is arranged with a great deal of professionalism and panache.

The names of the persons for the 2007 awards have been submitted and Lord Mohamed Sheikh is the co-chairman of the independent panel of judges. We are indeed proud of the Muslims who have done exceptionally well in this country and have contributed to the advancement and well-being of the UK.
