Lord Sheikh, the chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum attended a function in Parliament to commemorate the Holocaust Memorial Day. The event was hosted by Louise Ellman, Member of Parliament for Liverpool Riverside and fellow guests included Hazel Blears MP Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Rt Hon Des Browne MP Secretary of State for Defence and the Rt Hon Francis Maude MP Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office and Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.

The event focussed on the theme of Holocaust Memorial Day 2008, ‘Imagine…Remember, Reflect, React.’ Both Ms Mohamed Ibrahim, a refugee from Darfur and Dr Oster, a Holocaust survivor discussed their painful experiences of persecution and racism and later took questions from the audience.
