Lord Sheikh hosted tea in The House of Lords for the Sri Lankan High Commission. The guests included Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe MP, Minister of Plantation Industries and Special Envoy of the President of Sri Lanka on Human Rights,  Mr Mohan Peiris PC, Consultant to the President of Sri Lanka and HE Dr. Chris Nonis the Sri Lankan High Commissioner.

A number of British Parliamentarians were also in attendance. There were speeches by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe MP, HE Dr. Chris Nonis and Lord Sheikh.
